What can my caregiver see?

For people who use a PERS device

Care Center Connect helps your caregiver stay informed about you. The information comes from your PERS help button.

A caregiver can be a family member, friend, or other person who helps you.

Your caregiver can see

The name and age of the person who uses the PERS device.

How strong the device’s signal is.

How much battery is left, if the device shares this information.

They can also get text alerts

Missed monthly test

Sent if the person who uses the PERS device has not done their monthly button test.

Very low battery

Sent when the device’s battery is very low.

Note: sent only once within any 24-hour period.

Caregivers choose which alerts they want in their account.

How does a caregiver sign up?

To use Care Center Connect, caregivers must get permission from the person who uses PERS. They must also create an account. Here’s the link to sign in or create an account.

A caregiver can see the information right away once all three steps are done:

  • The person using PERS gives permission for the caregiver to access their information by calling the Care Center.

  • The caregiver calls the Care Center to sign up.

  • The caregiver proves they have access to the phone number that matches their request.

How can a person who uses PERS stop sharing?

You are in control

To stop sharing or remove a caregiver’s access, the person using PERS must call the Care Center.

Call the Care Center

1-800-508-6370

Caregivers also lose access when the person is no longer enrolled in the PERS service.
